und unter dem Pseudonym „Gabriele Bahmann“), immer auch unter Aspekten
fachübergreifender Zusammenhänge, wie Kunst-Gesellschaft-Zeitgeist-Form
- Gastvorlesungen und Vorträge auf Tagungen und im Lehrbereich, sowie Eröffnungen
unterschiedlichster Kulturveranstaltungen
- Seit den 1990ern: zunehmende Beschäftigung mit Restaurierungstechniken von
Gemälden, seinerzeit auch in Zusammenhang mit eigener Galerietätigkeit.
- ab 2003 Restaurierungen von Gemälden im eigenen Studio; intensive Beschäftigung
mit europäischer Leinwand-Malerei des 17. bis 19.Jhs., in diesem Zusammenhang
ständige weiterführende Studien und Studienreisen, insbes. nach England, zu Vorträgen,
Gemäldestudien und Tagungen, seit 2011 Mitglied von "The British Association of
Paintings Conservator-Restorers" (BAPCR)
- Seit Jahren beständige private Gemäldeforschungen im Zusammenhang mit der
Restaurierungstätigkeit zu Erkennungskriterien, Malgestik und Malerzeichen,
InScriptionen und deren Nachweis-Methoden, auch mit dem Ziel einer besseren

archaeometry (a new branch of science developed in the 1970s for linking
the current methods and results of natural science with different areas of
art)
- organizing and managing exhibitions for several museums and, during
the 1990s, for her own art gallery in Bayerisch Eisenstein as well as in
other exhibition buildings (paintings and objets d'art, creating cultural
projects, especially in co-operation with painters in Russia and Prague,
including the Academy of Art in Prague). - Personally created objets d'art
(glass, metal, painting) in co-operation with several studios in the
Bavarian Forest area of Germany
- active as a free-lance writer: publications of books, catalogues and
articles (researches in the history of art, examining the work of living
artists) authored by Christiane Sellner und also under the pseudonym

- lectures and talks given at international conferences and at teaching
forums, as well as at the openings of different cultural events
- since the 1990s increasing interest in techniques for the restoration of
paintings (at that time connected with her own art gallery)
- since 2003 restauration and conservation of paintings in her own
studio; strongly increasing interest in european canvas paintings of the
17th until 19th century; in this connection frequently travelling to Italy
and particularly to England, making studies of paintings, attending talks
and conferences; since 2011 Associate of "The British Association of
Paintings Conservator-Restorers" (BAPCR)
- for many years continuous private researches into paintings, connected
with the current work of restoration and conservation involving criteria for
recognizing characteristic brush marks, signs and inscriptions of the
painters and the methods of clarifying these signs; also with the purpose
